ADVENTURE IN THE HEART OF AOTEAROA

Nestled on a cliff-top surrounded by native bush and walking trails is the Taupō Bungy & Swing site. The epic views over the river make for an easy, relaxed atmosphere. Our covered deck area with in-built seating can be used until 7:30pm (with additional time available on request).

This overlooks the bungy and swing platforms, making it the ideal environment to calm the nerves or work up the courage to tackle one of our activity options. Although this location lends itself perfectly for summer, in the cooler months a heated marquee can be arranged.

THE VENUE

Located in the middle of New Zealand's North Island, Taupo Bungy and Swing is an adrenaline-packed playground that beckons thrill-seekers from around the globe. Located just minutes away from Lake Taupo and the mighty Waikato River, this venue offers an array of heart-pounding adventure experiences in a pristine natural setting.

Hours

Our operating hours are 9:30am-4:00pm daily. For events these typically run from 4:00pm to 8:00pm however quotes are tailored to your request.

Capacity

Our site maximum capacity is a total of 120 guests. There are three distinct areas available for hire. These are;

Covered Deck:Max pax 25 (seated) 40pax (cocktail)

Uncovered Viewing Area:

Max pax 40 (seated) 120pax (cocktail)

ACTIVITIES

Taupō Bungy

15 guests per hour, additional 3 guests per every subsequent 15mins

Taupō Swing

16 guests per hour, additional 4 guests per every subsequent 15mins.

Bungy Demonstration

Kick-start your team building event with a showcase of five different Bungy jump styles expertly performed by our jump master crew. Complete with fun facts and history this is the perfect warm up to encourage your guests to take up the Bungy challenge themselves for a once in a lifetime experience.

ACCESS

Located 5mins from Central Taupō. Free car and coach parking available Transportation available for up to 11 guests at a time in our Bungy van. This is on a request basis only.

INCLUSIONS

Exclusive use of the hired space, a dedicated event coordinator, use of existing furniture (picnic tables, outdoor seating). Event Wi-Fi network (business standard, combined speed up to 15MB suitable for standard web browsing and secure email).

Food & Beverage

For a simple DIY option we can arrange BBQ hire, and provide drinks bins to keep your BYO Beer, Wine & Spirits cool. This makes for a great budget friendly food & beverage option for your group event. Alternatively we work with a number of local caterers. Choose anything from a simple tea & coffee station, small bites, packed lunches, sharing platters, fully cooked meal or food trucks.

ENTERTAINMENT

Exclusive to our Taupō site, we have the potential for an interactive Māori cultural experience to make your group’s visit one they won’t ever forget! Get your group to engage in activities such as preparation and enjoyment of a steam hāngi (food cooked underground using natural thermal steam); harakeke (flax weaving) or poi (swinging of tethered weights) workshops; or enjoy a pōwhiri (traditional welcome) by our local tangata whenua (people of the land).
