The Kawarau Bungy Centre is located on State Highway 6 at the Kawarau Bridge, about halfway between Queenstown and Cromwell.

From Queenstown there are two main routes:

From Queenstown: It’s around a 25-minute drive (23 km) via State Highway 6.
From Cromwell: Allow around 30 minutes (27 km) via State Highway 6.
Parking: Free parking is available onsite for visitors.

We recommend checking Google Maps on the day for the most accurate travel times. Please allow extra time during busy holiday periods.

If you’re booked for Bungy, Swing, or Zipride, make sure you arrive at least 15 minutes before your scheduled check-in time.

We are open daily from 9:30am to 4:00pm (closed Xmas Day)

We know you're itching to get going, but there are a couple of things we need you to know first.

Risk Disclosure
This activity offers a unique and memorable experience. However, like all adventure experiences it carries an inherent risk that we, as an experienced operator, want to communicate clearly to all participants. See our risk disclosure statement.

Water Touch
So you're keen to touch the water? Water touch is possible at Kawarau Bridge Bungy, however it's not guaranteed because of factors beyond our control (like the river level).

When you check-in for your activity, let your jump master know you'd like a water touch and they'll see what they can do.

AGE
Minimum 10 years old. Under 15 requires an adult to sign consent at check-in.

WEIGHT
Single jumper weight - Bungy Jumpers must weigh between 35kg – 160kg, regardless of if they are jumping by themselves or in tandem. (A max weight of 130kg applies when river levels are high. If in doubt, contact our Reservation Centre for conditions on the day).

TANDEM BUNGY
Tandem jumper weight – Tandem Jumpers must not exceed a combined weight of 235kgs. The weight difference between tandem jumpers must not exceed 30kg. Bungy Jumpers must weigh between 35kg - 160 kg, regardless of if they are jumping by themselves or in tandem.

DURATION
Self-drive: Allow 1.5 hours
Bungy Bus: Allow 2.5 hours

Clothing
None. You can Bungy nude if you want to (if the Crew say it's okay on the day). Winter can get very cold, so we recommend layering up and taking a jacket.

It is free for spectators to check out bungy jumping and get amongst the awesome atmosphere at the Kawarau Bungy Centre. If you require transport, then you are welcome to use our Bungy Bus, which departs from the Queenstown Bungy Centre, located in 'The Station' building in the centre of Queenstown. Bookings are essential and it is free. View map

Tell your Bungy Crew if you have high or low blood pressure, heart conditions, epilepsy, broken or fractured bones/dislocations, fragile skin, neurological disorders, diabetes, asthma, prosthetics, panic/anxiety attacks or any recent sprains/muscular injuries.

Unfortunately, we can't permit anyone who is pregnant, or those with photosensitive epilepsy, to jump. And if you have osteoporosis, scoliosis or a recent concussion, we'll need to see a doctor's certificate.

Wear glasses for safety reasons? They may not be able to be worn. However, prescriptions safety glasses are available free of charge. You can check out more about our safety here.
