As the gondola goes up and up, you’ll start to appreciate just how high above Queenstown you’re sitting. You’re heading to the home of The Ledge Swing - a stomach-dropper where you’ll need to stop your hands from shaking long enough to release the cord yourself. Then… waaaaaaaaaa-hooooooo!

Getting there Before you do it

Gondola

You'll need to take the Skyline Gondola to reach the Ledge Swing - you can't drive up. There's also a few hiking trails if you're slightly fit, but we don't recommend this in winter.

Ledge Swing is located up at Skyline Queenstown. Tickets for the gondola are available directly from the Skyline ticketing office at the top of Brecon St, which is a 5min walk from downtown Queenstown. Open Thursday to Monday from 11:00am-4:30pm. (Closed Xmas Day)

AGE
Minimum 10 years old. Children 14 and under require an adult to sign consent at check-in.

Weight
Between 30kg to 107kg.

DURATION
Allow 1.5 hours, includes gondola travel time.

CLOTHING
Please ensure you wear flat, secure and enclosed footwear. Winter can get very cold, so we recommend layering-up and taking a jacket.

Swing spectating is free, and you'll get an awesome view whilst you're there. We've got purpose built decks to watch safely from a distance without having to leave the ground. You'll need a Skyline Gondola ticket to reach the Ledge Swing.

We have been throwing people off things since 1988 and we are very proud of our impeccable safety record. When you swing or jump with AJ Hackett Bungy New Zealand, you do it with the most experienced Bungy company in the world.

Tell your Swing Crew if you have high or low blood pressure, heart conditions, epilepsy, broken or fractured bones/dislocations, fragile skin, neurological disorders, diabetes, asthma, prosthetics, panic/anxiety attacks or any recent sprains/muscular injuries.

Unfortunately, we can't permit anyone who is pregnant, or those with photosensitive epilepsy, to swing. And if you have osteoporosis, scoliosis or a recent concussion, we'll need to see a doctor's certificate.

Wear glasses for safety reasons? They may not be able to be worn. However, prescriptions safety glasses are available free of charge.
